So what and who are Sussex Spooks?
Where the name "Sussex Spooks" comes from I have no idea! As the
name suggest's we are in Sussex, Bognor Regis to be exact which is actualy in West Sussex. Bognor Regis is a lovley town which
can be traced back as far as the Saxon times. Bognor certainly has its share of ghosts and phantoms and I am planning to
add these ghost stories to the site as soon as I have researched them. We even have a number of resident ghosts haunting our
local "Boots" cosmetic and pharmacy store!
I think that most people are a little curious about ghosts and hauntings even though they
may not openly admit it. I think it is the idea that life may well continue after death, something that holds a fascination
with everyone.
The internet provides us with a multitude of information on the Paranormal. But the world
of the paranormal covers a vast range of strange subjects including U.F.O's, P.K, Mind Reading, Tarrot Cards and much
much more. And of course ghosts!..... It is only the world of ghosts and hauntings that we are interested in.
We like to visit haunted places with an open mind. We like to do our own research
on the history of all the locations we visit. We do not rely on "word of mouth stories" we would rather rely on documented
evidance or to be told of any hauntings first hand. All to often "word of mouth" stories are subject to manipulation
and before you know it the story is blown out of all proportion, a kind of Chinees Whisper if you like.
There are a number of credible and excellent web sites on the net which are well worth
a visit. We like to think ours differs from the majority of them because we try to offer a rational explanation to the photo's
and investigations we take. Its all to easy to photograph what you may think of as a ghost when you are on a ghost hunt! All
the photos we take are first downloaded onto the pc and then analysed before posting on the site. We like to include the photos
that we know contain natural phenomina because we beleive that we should offer a fair and balanced view to the reader.
Sometimes though a gem is caught on camera which takes everyone on an investigation by surprise as in the case of Darren's
photo at Tangmere!
We are always very interested in investigating haunted locations. So if there is somewhere that
you think may be worth investigating then please contact us..... WE LOVE A CHALLANGE!..... The only stipulation is that it
must be in the UK.
Please feel free to email any photos you may wish us to look at that you may think contain Paranormal
images. We will not forward them to any other Paranormal web site. We will only publish photos on the "Sussex Spooks" web
site with your permission.
